Kate Beaton is utterly fantastic. My admiration for her work is so intense that it's tangible. You say it's impossible? You say you want evidence? Sorry, I've already sent it to her in brick form through the mail. ([link])

SO: I was very impressed when I first saw her comics, and recently have been even more enthused (how many people can profess their love and respect for world history and one of its most well-remembered leaders and then draw another comic depicting the same man on a cookie binge?).
And thus, driven by my zeal to find a way to enjoy her work even more often, I made desktop wallpapers!
